In Which Lacey’s Disney Movie Project Gets an Upgrade!!
My good friend just combined her DVD collection with her partner’s, and I was the lucky recipient of all these Disney duplicates!
Henceforth on my blog, this collection will be referred to my “big box o’ Disney love.”
This comes in the nick of time, as I discovered last night that my old Lion King VHS no longer plays properly.
One of my goals for the end of this project was to “upgrade” all of my favorites that I have on VHS to DVD. That project just got considerably easier!
My cat also approves.
(I’m not sure why these photos are so blurry — I guess I was so excited that I couldn’t keep my hands still!)
Which faves do you still need to upgrade?

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is “Lady & the Tramp.” At the end when I do my top 10 list I’ll see how many of the 10 have not been upgraded. Lady makes my top 10, but I have a hunch most of the others will be from the Renaissance years, unless one of the movies from the period just after surprises me on a rewatch. I don’t remember that era very well.
I liked “Atlantis,” too, but Krystl has that one on DVD so I have a good copy to watch for this project. 🙂

“Atlantis” is so good. Aside from its weird flaws about code-breaking. But I’m amazed at how much I really enjoyed it upon rewatching it, especially because I wasn’t too crazy about it when I saw it in theaters.

I am really looking forward to re-watching that one. I remember having mixed feelings about it after seeing it in the theaters — I thought it was “crammed” with too many characters. I really wish Disney’s plans for a TV series based on it would have gone forward, since I think there was a lot more to explore — especially since Greg Weisman was supposed to do the writing.
